The morning was filled with cheers, confetti, and pure surprise as more than 50 teachers from Banyan Creek Elementary arrived at the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County’s Red Apple Supplies store — not realizing they were about to make history!
As their charter bus pulled into the parking lot, the teachers were met with colorful streamers, noisemakers, and applause from the Education Foundation team, community partners, and volunteers from HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. The excitement marked a special milestone — Banyan Creek Elementary became the 100th Red Apple Supplies partner school!
A Celebration of Teachers and Community
Inside, teachers enjoyed a festive morning complete with breakfast from Brooklyn Water Bagel, fun games, and door prizes before heading into the Red Apple Supplies store to shop for classroom materials — all completely free. For many, it was their first time experiencing the Foundation’s free teacher resource store, which helps ensure students in Title I schools have the tools they need to learn and succeed.
Since opening in 2016, Red Apple Supplies has distributed over $9.2 million in classroom resources, reducing the financial burden teachers often face when buying supplies out of their own pockets.
The Power of Partnership
The event highlighted the incredible impact that’s possible when a community comes together. Education Foundation President and CEO James Gavrilos, founder Meredith Trim, and an array of board members, volunteers, and district leaders celebrated this achievement — reaffirming their shared commitment to education equity in Palm Beach County.
As the celebration wrapped up, the spirit of giving continued beyond the store’s walls. Good Greek Moving & Storage proudly joined the effort, helping transport boxes filled with classroom supplies back to Banyan Creek Elementary. Our team was honored to ensure that every teacher’s selections made it safely back to their classrooms — ready to inspire students and fuel learning.
Building Brighter Futures Together
The smiles, laughter, and joy throughout the morning said it all — this was more than just a milestone; it was a reminder of the power of community. At Good Greek Moving & Storage, we’re proud to support local educators and the next generation of leaders.
The Education Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to every Champion of Education who makes this work possible. Together, we’re helping build brighter futures — one classroom, one school, and one student at a time.
